Ingredients

  • flour - 5 cups
  • dry yeast - 0.25 oz (7 g)
  • oil - 3 - 4 tbsp.
  • warm milk - 1 cup
  • warm water - 1 cup
  • eggs - 3 pcs. (1 yolk is separated for spreading)
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1 tbsp.
  • butter - 2.5 oz (70 g)
  • white cheese - 9 oz (250 g)

How to make

The yeast is dissolved with the sugar in the warm milk and water and is left for a while to activate.

Add the eggs, salt and flour and knead a thin dough (like a thick porridge), which is covered and left in a warm place to double in volume.

Transfer the risen dough into a tray onto greased baking paper and cover it evenly with the crumbled white cheese and butter pieces.

Spread it carefully with the beaten egg yolk with a little oil.

Bake it at 360°F (180 degrees) for 25-30 minutes.
