Ingredients

  • feta cheese - 17.5 oz (500 g), hard
  • eggs - 2
  • breadcrumbs - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • paprika - 2 tablespoons
  • black pepper - 1 pinch, ground
  • savory - 1 tsp
  • oil - for frying

How to make

Heat the oil in a frying pan. Cut the feta cheese into pieces about the size of a matchbox. Dip the resulting blocks in beaten eggs and roll in a mixture of breadcrumbs, paprika, black pepper and savory.

Fry in heated oil, drain on a sheet of paper towels, then arrange them in suitable serving dish. Do not cover the cheese blocks so that they remain crunchy.
