How to make
Beat the eggs and sugar well and add the yoghurt, oil, lemon rind, the bananas and apples that you've cut into small pieces. Mix well and add the flour sifted with the baking powder, and finally - the vanilla.
Pour the mixture into a greased mold or tray, sprinkle it with coarsely chopped walnuts and gently press them to the batter. Put the holiday sponge cake to bake in a moderately preheated oven.
Optionally, after you remove it, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
