How to make
The dough is cut into squares with 3″ (8 cm) sides. Incisions are made from each vertex of the square toward its center. Place some jam in the middle. The tops are folded over towards the center so as to form a star. Overlap and lightly press them.
Arrange the sweets in a tray covered with baking paper and smear it with beaten egg yolk. Bake in a preheated 430°F (220 °C) oven for about 15-20 minutes, until they are lightly golden.
Sprinkle it with powdered sugar mixed with the vanilla.
