How to make
Pour the yufka into an oven dish, sprinkle the top with walnuts, mixed with cinnamon.
Make a syrup of 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Pour the hot syrup in over the walnuts. Set aside about 2/3 cup (150 ml) milk, and put the rest to boil with 1 cup sugar and the vanilla.
Separate the yolks and whites of the eggs, beat the egg yolks slightly and add the cold milk that was set aside, then a little flour until you get a smooth mixture. Pour thus prepared mixture to the boiling milk and continuously stir until it begins to bubble. Pour it while hot over the yufka and leave it to cool.
Beat the egg whites into hard snow with 4 tablespoons sugar and smear it on top of the already cooled cake, then gently bake until it gets a golden color. Leave it to cool and cut it up into pieces. Enjoy!
