How to make
In a bowl, beat the jam, sugar and hot water using an wire whisk until the sugar melts.
Add the oil and stir. Add the nuts and finally, the flour with the soda.
Mix well and pour the finished mixture into a greased and floured cake pan.
Bake in a preheated 360°F (180 degree) oven for about 50-55 minutes.
Check the sponge cake with a toothpick.
Leave the fully baked sponge cake for 15 minutes in the oven, but turn it off.
Then open the oven and leave it to cool down completely.
Turn the walnut sponge cake onto a tray and spread a lot of liquid chocolate over it.
I sprinkled it with chocolate sprinkles for an even tastier topping.
Although, it is a cake without eggs and milk, it turned out a wonderful and very tasty sponge cake with chocolate, walnuts and jam.
