How to make

Soak the walnuts in water for 4 hours, as the first step in the raw vegan chocolate cake recipe.

Strain the nuts and wash them under running water. Bake them in a teflon pan, while being careful not to burn them. It is better if you roast them little by little.

Put the roasted walnuts in a food processor and grind them well. Add the dates, which we have already pitted and if desired, peeled. Then add the coconut oil + a pinch of salt. Grind everything until you get a thick dough-like mixture.

Place a metal cake ring in a suitable platter and distribute the walnut mixture evenly.

Put sliced bananas and avocados in the blender jug. Add the dates and all the other ingredients for the avocado cream. Grind everything for a few minutes until you get a smooth homogeneous vegan cream. If you want a smoother cream, peel the dates.

Pour the cream over the walnut cake and flatten it. Place the vegan cake in the fridge for a few hours or preferably for one night.

Optionally, you can decorate the chocolate cake with coconut shavings, once it cools down.

A wonderful raw cake!
