In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Top up with oil and begin stirring until you get crumbs. Gradually, pour in the slightly warm water - the goal is to get a medium-soft dough that does not stick.
Leave the dough to sit for 15 minutes. Heat a large dry frying pan and shape 6-7 pitas from the dough. Roll out each pita into a round shape and bake for about 2 minutes on each side.
Smear the finished pitas with butter after removing from the pan. Optionally, when baking the second side, smear with butter and sprinkle with spices.
