Ingredients

  • spinach - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • butter - 3 tbsp
  • eggs - 5
  • rice - 1 1/2 cups
  • ham - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • parmesan - 1.5 oz (50 g), or cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • nutmeg

How to make

Boil the rice in 3 cups of boiling water. Clean the spinach, wash it well and cook it in a little water for about 5 minutes. After it has cooled, cut it finely and mix with 1 tbsp of butter, 1 hard-boiled and sliced egg, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Cut the ham into pieces and mix it with the grated parmesan and cooked rice. In a buttered form, spread a layer of rice, then a layer of spinach and keep alternating. In the uppermost layer of spinach, make grooves and put 1 egg into each.

On top, place small pieces of butter and bake in an oven until the eggs harden.
