Carefully melt the chocolate with the butter in a water bath. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar, add the chocolate gradually, while constantly whipping.
Separately, beat the egg whites, then carefully add them to remaining mixture with a spatula. Pour the mixture over a cake form, covered with baking paper.
Sprinkle the top with chocolate chips and put the chocolate cake without flour to bake in a preheated 350°F (175 °C) oven for about 35 min.
