How to make
Beat the softened butter beaten with the sugar. Add the egg yolks and the cocoa which you've beaten in hot water into cream and the rum. Of this mixture, set aside 1 cup and keep it in the refrigerator.
To the rest of the mixture, add crushed walnuts and egg whites beaten to snow. Put it in a greased baking form to bake for about 45 minutes at 300°F (150 °C). Checks for readiness with a toothpick.
Once fully cooled, smear it with the cream from the refrigerator. Decorate the top of the cake with sliced almonds if you like.
