How to make
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar and salt. Add egg and egg yolks, followed by milk and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir until no longer lumpy.
In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter until it is golden brown and mix it into the pancake mix. Allow the dough to rest for about 15 minutes. Pour the remaining 1 tablespoon vegetable oil into a pan. Wait to start smoking and tilt the pan to get the mix all over it and take the surplus in a small bowl.
Use the separated cooking oil for the next batter. Pour about 2 tablespoons of the mixture for each pancake and bake normally. Arrange them on top of each other.
Plain English pancakes are served with sugar, lemon or orange slices.
