"Tradition dictates we greet our guests with bread and feta cheese, so in keeping with it we`ve made this aromatic pita with feta!"

Ingredients

  • flour - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • feta cheese - 3 cups, crumbled
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • yogurt - 2 cups (500 g)
  • eggs - 3
  • butter - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • baking soda - 1 tsp

How to make

Add the eggs, cheese, oil and yogurt, in which you've dissolved the baking soda beforehand, to the flour. Knead a dough and divide it into 15 balls.

Out of each ball, make a roll with a hole in the middle and put a knob of butter and feta cheese in it. Arrange the buns in a greased oven dish and bake them in a moderately hot oven until the loaf gets a golden tan and rises.
