Ingredients: 4 avocados, 2 lemons/limes, a pinch of salt.
Preparation: Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Peel the fruits, take the pulp out, dice it and use a fork to mash it into a sludge in a bowl, to obtain a puree. Grate a small part of the lime rinds, squeeze the juice out from the fruits. Add these to the avocado puree and stir. Season with salt. The ingredients simply have to mix together well and what you get is an excellent homemade guacamole dip.
Guacamole Sauce with Yoghurt
With the original recipe serving as your foundation, you can also get a richer guacamole sauce by adding yoghurt, for example. To the well-ripened avocados, add yoghurt, 1 garlic clove, lemon juice, black pepper and cumin. Mix the ingredients to the desired consistency of the sauce. Use quantities of the spices based on your taste.
Guacamole Sauce with Tomatoes
To make a Guacamole Sauce with Tomatoes, you need 2 avocados, 1 ripe tomato, 2 tbsp finely chopped onions, 1 garlic clove, lemon or lemon juice, salt and black pepper. After taking the avocados' pulp out, make a sludge using a fork and gradually add the rest of the ingredients to enrich the taste.
Guacamole with Red Onions
Another option is to enrich your guacamole sauce with red onions. You're going to need 2-3 ripe avocados, 1/2 chopped red onion, parsley, salt, 1 red pepper, 3 tbsp lemon juice. If you'd like a spicier sauce, you can add a pinch of chili.
Guacamole with Chili
Here's a guacamole dip for all who love a spicier taste. You're going to need 4 ripe avocados, 1/2 head red onion, 3 limes, salt and chili peppers (or powdered chili).
Guacamole with Olives
To make a Guacamole with Olives, you're going to need 2-3 soft and ripened avocados, 2 garlic cloves, the juice of 1 lemon, a little extra virgin olive oil, salt, a handful of black olives. Mash the garlic and olives, then add them to the already mashed avocados, pour in olive oil and lemon juice. You can also decorate it with whole olives.
