How to Roast a Pig

Roasting pig is one of the most delicious and attractive dishes that decorate every festive table. To make the roasted pig tender and aromatic, you need to prepare it well.

Moisten the pig using a wet cloth. Chop the garlic, onions, crush the peppers, and the bay leaf. Everything is mixed with salt and black pepper. Rub the pig inside and out with this mixture. The pig is covered with slices of lemon and left for 8 hours.

If the pig is large, cut it in half. The tray is greased with olive oil, the pig is sprinkled with a few drops of water and the outside is greased with olive oil.

The tail and ears are wrapped in foil. Light cuts are made along the spine. Roast at 180°C. After it has been roasted for half an hour, it is poured with the juice from the roasting or with olive oil.

After an hour has passed, the foil is removed. Roast for another hour and a half, periodically basting with the juices from the roasting.
