If you want to have hard boiled eggs, but you don't know exactly how long to boil them, you'll find out now. Whether you want hard boiled or soft boiled eggs, they should be at room temperature before you boil them.
The egg cooking time, as we said, depends on the result you want. You need to put the eggs in the water, which has already boiled. If you want soft boiled eggs, boil them for a shorter time. If you want them to be hard-boiled, you need to boil them longer. Here's what the cooking time is:
- if boiled for 7 minutes, the yolk of eggs will turn out more liquid and the egg white will be well cooked;
- if you boil the eggs for eight minutes, the egg yolk will be soft, but not runny;
- if you boil the eggs for 10 minutes, the eggs are well boiled and the yolk slightly soft;
- if boiled for 12-13 minutes, the eggs will be very well cooked.
If you want your eggs to be very well cooked, follow these rules:
- Put a few eggs on the bottom of a medium or large pot. Pour water, which is about 5 cm above the eggs;
- put the pot to boil on a high heat. Once the water boils, the time required for the desired result is timed;
- after the eggs are boiled, cool them under cold water to stop the cooking process or leave them in a bowl of cold water, until they cool down;
- to have a hard-boiled egg, put the eggs in cold water and boil them. If you have a timer, set it to 13 minutes. If you don't have one, you can time 13 minutes yourself. The longer you boil your eggs, the harder they will be. After the cooking time has passed, the eggs are placed in ice-cold water for about 1 minute. This will stop the cooking process and help them cool down faster.
With hard-boiled eggs we recommend you prepare:
- stuffed eggs;
- or delicious egg salad;
