measures

How to make

Melt the butter in the microwave. To it add the brown sugar and honey. Stir lightly with a mixer until the sugar melts. Beat the egg, add it to the mixture.

Sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt, add slowly to the bowl. You need to obtain a soft dough. Leave the prepared dough in the fridge for 30 min. Divide it into 3 balls. Leave 2 of them as they are, add confectionery dye to the 3rd and knead to obtain the desired color.

Roll out the 1st ball to a thickness of 1/8 (4 mm). Cut out flower shapes using cookie cutters. Using a round pastry bag tip, cut out the middle of the flower to make a hole. Put baking paper in a tray and arrange the flowers. Crumble the sugar rooster finely and use a spoon to put a little of it in the middle of each flower. You can substitute it with colored candy.

Roll out the other 2 balls to the same thickness. Cut out flowers again. Using the pastry bag tip, cut out the middles of the flowers and switch them: put red middles on the white flowers and white middles on the red flowers.

Make wicks out of the remaining white and red dough. Weave 1 red and 1 white one together. Fold one end slightly to make it look like a cane.

Make colorful balls from the remaining dough that's still whole. Bake the cookies on baking paper in a preheated 370°F (190 °C) oven about 15-20 min. or until the ends redden. Take them out immediately because they burn quickly.
