How to make
Cut the cabbage into thin strips, salt and mash it by hand.
Braise the onions, garlic and diced carrots in a deep pot, add the salted and mashed cabbage and stir about 10 min. until softened.
Add the paprika, the tomato salsa diluted in a little water, the bay leaf, allspice and citric acid.
Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a clay pot. Pour the finely chopped tomatoes on top.
Place it in a cold oven and bake at 390°F (200 °C) for 40 min.
