  • eggs - 2
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • oil - 1 cup
  • water - 1 cup
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 cups
  • jam - 1 cup
  • powdered sugar - for sprinkling

How to make

Beat the eggs with the sugar to a homogeneous mixture, add the oil and water, stir.

Combine the sifted flour with the baking soda, add it in parts while stirring with a spatula.

Add your favorite jam or marmalade and stir until the cake mixture becomes smooth.

Smear your tray lightly with oil and sprinkle it with flour, pour in the mixture and put to bake in a preheated 300°F (150 °C) oven until ready, for about 25 min.

Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
