How to make
Combine the oil, orange juice, sugar and baking soda (mixed with the cognac). Stir with a spatula until the sugar dissolves.
Add the sifted flour, combined with the baking powder and stir to a homogeneous mixture.
To it, add the ground walnuts, apples and carrots, stirring once again. Pour the mixture into a cake tray, laid out with baking paper.
Bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for about 45 min.
While still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
