  • for the layer
  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1 packet
  • flour - 1 cup
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • for the cream
  • vanilla cream - 1 packet
  • sugar - 3 - 4 tbsp
  • milk - 4 1/5 cups (1 L)
  • flour - 1 tbsp
  • butter - 2 tbsp (30 g)
  • eggs - 2 yolks
  • strawberries - 1 cup (250 g)

How to make

Beat the eggs with the sugar using a mixer, then add the baking powder and flour. Once it becomes a homogeneous mixture, pour it into the oven dish you've laid out with baking paper beforehand and bake at 300°F (150 °C) for about 25 min.

Take the ready layer out of the oven dish once cooled, remove the baking paper and cut it into 2 thinner layers.

For the cream, beat the vanilla cream and flour with some of the cold milk, add the egg yolks.

Put the rest of the milk with the sugar on the stove. Once heated, pour the cold milk and vanilla cream mixture into it, stir nonstop on low heat until thickened.

Remove from the stove and once cooled a bit, add the butter and stir.

Cut the strawberries into pieces. Smear cream on one of the layers and arrange the strawberries, place the other layer on top and smear with the rest of the cream.
