How to make
Here is my infamous, fast, very inexpensive and very tasty cake. It's great for when you have guests over or for when you feel like eating something sweet.
Put 4 1/5 cups (1 liter) of milk with the sugar on the stove to boil or nearly boil. In the remaining 4/5 cup (200 milliliters) of milk, dissolve the puddings, then pour them in a trickle into the rest of the milk.
I tend to put more milk than what's recommended on the packaging, to get a thinner cream. In a form with removable sides, spread out the pieces of sponge cake (in my case cocoa, but there are also white ones you can get). Spread them out evenly but don't put too much of them so the cake doesn't become too dry. Just use enough to cover the bottom.
Pour half of the prepared cream over this and add the sliced bananas and break chocolate on top. Then cover again with sponge cake pieces and add the remaining cream. It's good to leave the cake aside at least until it cools, but it is best to leave it overnight in the fridge. You can experiment endlessly with this type of cake.
Try it with different types of creams. I make it with homemade mousse cream and it comes out very tasty. You can also do without the bananas and chocolate if you don't have them on hand. That's why it's called Poor Man's.
All you need is your fantasy and a desire to cook.
