How to make
Put the sugar, wine, lemon zest and juice, ginger, star anise and cloves with the water in a pot and bring to a boil.
In the meantime, peel the pears but don't remove their stems. Put them in the liquid and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and boil 15-20 min. Take out the pears.
Bring the syrup to a boil and let it reduce by half then pour it on top of the pears. Cool them, cut and serve.
