Ingredients

  • cottage cheese - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • eggs - 4
  • semolina - 3 tbsp
  • apples - 7
  • lemons - 1
  • ginger - 1 pinch, powdered
  • sugar - 2/3 cup
  • hazelnuts - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g), ground
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 packet
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp
  • butter - 1 tbsp

How to cook

Peel the apples and cut them into slices. Squeeze out the lemon juice and pour it over the apples.

Add the ginger and half the sugar. Cover and leave them for 1 hour. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. Mix the egg yolks with the cottage cheese and hazelnuts, semolina, vanilla and baking powder.

Beat the egg whites with the salt to snow, gradually add the remaining sugar and pour the egg white mixture into the mixture with the cottage cheese. Add it to the apples, setting aside a few slices for decoration.

Put the mixture into a buttered tray, sprinkled with breadcrumbs. Decorate with the remaining apples. Bake 45 min. at 360°F (180°C). Cover it with foil to prevent burning.
