How to make
The piece of pumpkin is grated on a coarse grater. Cinnamon, walnuts and salt are added to it.
If the pumpkin for the cake is not too sweet, 2-3 tbsp. of sugar can be added.
Mix sugar, flour, semolina and baking powder in a bowl.
The butter is melted.
Put 3-4 tablespoons of the butter in a 10″ (26 cm) non-stick pan. Sprinkle 1 cup of the dry mixture on top and place 1/3 of the pumpkin on top. Drizzle with 3-4 tablespoons of butter. This way, the cake is layered three times, finishing off with pumpkin and the remaining butter.
The semolina and pumpkin dessert is baked in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 40-50 minutes.
