Ingredients

  • acacia flowers - 25 pcs.
  • sugar - 5.1 lb (2.3 kg)
  • water - 12 cups (3 L)
  • lemon balm - 8 - 10 leaves
  • strawberries - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • citric acid - 0.7 oz (20 g)
measures

How to make

We put the acacia in a container and pour them with 2 liters of water. Add 2 kg of sugar, citric acid and lemon balm. It is left like this for 24 hours, stirring until the sugar melts.

Cut the strawberries into pieces. Put them in a pot and add 1 liter of water and 300 grams of sugar. Put them on moderate heat until the sugar melts and then boil for 10 minutes.

Strain the two juices through cheesecloth and mix.

Pour the cooled liquid into glass bottles and store them in a dark and cool place.

Consume diluted with water and chilled with ice. A slice of lemon can be added.

During the winter months the syrup is suitable as an immunostimulator for flu and colds.

The acacia, strawberry and lemon balm syrup is ready.
