"Roasted turkey with potatoes - a delicacy for a special occasion with loved ones"

Ingredients

  • half turkey - 4.4 lb (2 kg)
  • potatoes - 5, medium - sized
  • white wine - 1 cup
  • butter - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • white pepper
  • smoked paprika
  • chicken broth - 1 cup (200 ml)
  • onion - 2 onions
  • salt
  • corn starch - 1 tbsp.
  • savory herb - or rosemary (optional)
measures

How to make

We clean and wash the turkey and salt it.

We mix the softened room-temperature butter with the spices and place it under the skin of the turkey (for this purpose we make pockets under the skin with the knife and place the butter under the skin of the whole turkey).

Clean and cut the onion and potatoes into rings. Place the turkey and vegetables in a baking bag. Sprinkle the turkey with paprika on top.

Pour the white wine and chicken broth. Bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 1 hour and 2 hours at 300°F (150°C) until done.

We put the remaining marinade after roasting the turkey in a baking pan (by first straining it through a strainer) and make a sauce by adding the cornstarch and stirring until thickened.

We serve the roasted turkey with white wine and potatoes in a suitable dish along with the vegetables.

Enjoy!
