How to make
Good, healthy and ripe Cornelian cherries are picked.
Wash them well and put a handful and a half at the bottom of an Omnia-type jar.
The amount of fruit in the jar is approximate. If you want the juice to have a richer taste, you can add a larger amount of Cornelian cherries.
Put five tablespoons of sugar per compote jar, then fill each one with water.
The jars of compote are closed tightly and placed in a container of water to sterilize.
Boil for twenty minutes after boiling the water.
If desired, a geranium leaf can be added to each Cornelian cherry compote for more flavor.
