"The hit of the day. From retro Bulgarian cuisine. A superb taste that combines tender chicken, mushrooms and spices."

Ingredients

  • chicken legs - 6
  • mushrooms - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • processed cheese - 1 package
  • bacon - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • butter - 1/5 cup (55 g)
  • white wine - 1/5 cup (60 ml)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • nutmeg - about 1 tsp
  • lemons - juice of 1 lemon
measures

How to make

Sprinkle the chicken legs with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes, and in the meantime cut the bacon into thin strips and the cleaned mushrooms into slices.

Heat a little oil and first fry the bacon briefly, then add the mushrooms. Fry until half cooked and season with nutmeg. Add the sliced processed cheese and stir gently until melted. Optionally, you can add white wine.

Arrange the drumsticks in a baking dish, cover them with thin pieces of the remaining butter and pour on the mushroom sauce. Bake in a moderate oven for 30-40 minutes or until the meat is ready.
