How to make
Shrimp with lemon are an easy and delicious appetizer to prepare at lunch or dinner with guests or to serve for special occasions and holidays: as an appetizer, serve with a fresh salad or caviar.
For the success of the dish, it is important to cook the shrimp in the pan for only a few minutes, adding the lemon only at the end of cooking. In this way, the shrimp will be soft and the lemon will add a fresh flavor to the dish.
I also added a little white wine to my recipe. For the preparation you can also use shrimp of your choice. But here's how to make this aromatic and delicious dish in just a few minutes.
Clean the shrimp: remove the shell and head, leaving the tail. Also, remove the intestines from the back of the shrimp using a toothpick, then rinse them under running water. Dry them with kitchen paper.
Peel the garlic and remove the central core. Fry them in a pan with 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
Meanwhile, squeeze the lemon and grate the peel without the white part because it is bitter.
Add the shrimp to the pan and stew over high heat for 10 seconds.
Add the honey and caramelize well on both sides for about 5 minutes.
Add the white wine and let it evaporate. Season with salt and black pepper and turn off the heat.
At this point add the lemon juice and grated peel if desired, add chopped parsley and mix.
Your pan-fried shrimp are ready to be served hot or chilled.
Garnish with caviar, olives and lemon or green salad.
Tips:
It is important to cook the shrimp for a few minutes, otherwise they will become tough. Also, don't add the lemon juice while cooking or the shrimp will be bitter.
