Ingredients

  • chamomile - 3.5 oz (100 g) dried flowers
  • olive oil - 1.8 oz (50 g) of oil
  • vodka - 0.7 oz (20 g) optional

How to make

Dry the chamomile flowers. Finely chop them with a knife or grind them in a blender. Place them in a jar and cover them with vodka. Shake. Pour the oil - 1 inch above the herb and close the jar.

Pour water into a container and place the jar in it so that it is covered with water.

Thus, it is boiled in a water bath for 2 or three hours, without, however, boiling the water. You should keep an eye on it.

After the jar has cooled, strain the chamomile oil through cheesecloth and put it into another jar.

Store it in a dark and cool place.

Label it with name and date.

You can also make rose oil or other herbs this way.

The water bath can be replaced by leaving the jar of oil in the sun for about a month.

The herbs can also be placed in oil and heated, but then they may not last.

The first option is best.
