Ingredients

  • flour - 14 oz (400 g) type 500
  • fresh yeast - 0.9 oz (25 g)
  • water - 7.4 fl oz (220 ml)
  • olive oil - 2.4 fl oz (70 ml)
  • salt - 1 tsp.

How to make

For these fluffy bread rolls, mix olive oil and water and heat to 37°C.

Crumble the yeast and mix well again.

Mix the flour with the salt and sift it into the liquid ingredients.

Knead a smooth dough, let it rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.

Then form 8-10 balls with greased hands, flatten them and place them spaced apart on the oven tray lined with baking paper. Leave them to rise again for another 40 minutes or so or until doubled in size.

Bake the olive oil sandwich rolls at 390°F (200°C) in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.

Soft, fluffy and very tasty - perfect at any time, for salami sandwiches and cold sandwiches.
