"You will definitely want to save the recipe for this Turkish Delight and Whipped Cream Sponge Cake"

Ingredients

  • flour - 7 oz (200 g)
  • starch - 1.8 oz (50 g) corn, natural
  • baking powder - 1 1/2 tbsp (up to 15 g)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • vanilla - 1 powder (0.2 g) or essence
  • turkish delight - 3.5 oz (100 g) with walnuts
  • cream - 10.5 oz (300 g) of whipped cream, unsweetened
  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • butter - for greasing the mold
measures

How to make

Beat the eggs with the sugar into a fluffy and thick cream.

Start adding spoons of flour sifted with baking powder, salt and vanilla to them. While doing this, set the mixer to low speed.

Cut the Turkish delight into pieces.

If you did not buy whipped cream, but liquid, you must whip it, by making sure it doesn't lump up.

Add it to the cake mix as well, by mixing in a smooth motion to keep it fluffy.

Pour the mixture into a buttered cake tin and add the Turkish Delight pieces on top. With a spatula, press them in and gently mix them, so they don't stick to the top.

Bake the Turkish delight sponge cake in an oven heated to 360°F (180°C) for 40-45 minutes. When it's ready, leave it for 10 minutes in the tin and then turn it over onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy!
