How to make
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the slightly warmed water. Mix well and without waiting for it to activate, pour the oil.
To this liquid sift the flour, add the salt and knead it into a smooth, non-sticky dough. Sprinkle a little flour and knead, until you get elasticity.
Place a refractory container with water in the oven and turn it on to heat up to 140°F (60°C) and generate steam.
Form the dough into a bread roll - round or oblong. Make slits with the tip of a sharp knife and sprinkle with flour. Place it in a suitable baking pan, greased or covered with baking paper.
Put it in the oven and leave it for 20-30 minutes, then, without opening the door, increase the temperature to 430°F (220°C) and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
Remove the finished village-style bread from the baking pan and leave it to cool completely on a wire rack.
Enjoy your meal!
