How to cook
In a bowl, mix the soft butter, sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix with a mixer, until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Add the eggs one at a time, by mixing after each addition, until a smooth mixture is obtained. Add the cinnamon, which is optional and by taste (I added a pinch of cinnamon). The flavor is very similar to butter cake.
In another bowl, sift the flour and add the starch and baking powder. Add the grated apples. Mix well.
Add the dry mixture to the egg mixture and mix. A thick homogeneous mass is obtained.
Pour the mixture into a greased cake tin and level it out. Place the mold in an oven preheated to 360°F (180°C) and bake the sponge cake, until it's fully baked (about 50 minutes).
