"If you are tired of eating chicken and potatoes, try something different. Chicken with mushrooms and plums - expectedly a good combination!"

Ingredients

  • chicken drumsticks - 6 pcs. (about 800 g)
  • oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • onion - 2 large onions
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • field mushrooms - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • dried prunes - 7 oz (200 g)
  • hot peppers - 2 - 3 pcs. (optional)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • flour - 1 tbsp.
  • smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • parsley - 1/2 bunch

How to make

Chicken with mushrooms and prunes - expectedly a good combination!

Wash and drain the chicken drumsticks well.

Coarsely chop 2 large onions, carrots and mushrooms.

Season the meat with salt and black pepper.

Heat the oil and fry the chicken, on all sides, just enough to seal it.

Place the drumsticks into a baking pan, in which you will roast them and in the same fat stew the onions and carrots for a few minutes first.

Then add the mushrooms and fry them as well.

As soon as the liquid evaporates and the dish remains in fat, add the flour, the two types of paprika and about 1 2/3 cups (400 ml) of broth or water.

Also add 2 bay leaves and finely chopped fresh parsley.

Leave it on the stove, until it boils, then pour the stewed vegetables over the drumsticks.

Arrange the prunes between the meat and add the hot peppers.

Put the chicken dish to bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) for about 1 hour.

Before serving, sprinkle it with some more fresh parsley and enjoy this delicious chicken with mushrooms.
