Ingredients

  • minced meat - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • spinach - 7 oz (200 g)
  • parmesan - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • milk - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • breadcrumbs - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • sage - 2 - 3 leaves
  • black pepper
  • the peel of 1 lemon
  • garlic - 1 clove

How to make

Blanch the spinach for 3-4 minutes in boiling salted water.

Strain it through a colander. Squeeze by hand to remove the excess water.

Put the minced meat in a bowl, add the chopped spinach, the grated parmesan, the breadcrumbs, the milk, the chopped sage leaves, the egg and the pressed clove of garlic.

Season with a pinch of black pepper and grated lemon peel.

Knead the minced meat and put the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Shape small meatballs out of the seasoned minced meat.

Roll them in flour well and fry them in heated oil, in which you have put a sprig of sage and 2-3 cloves of garlic.

Place the meatballs with minched meat and spinach on a paper towel, to absorb the excess fat. Transfer them into a suitable plate and serve them with an yogurt and garlic sauce, which is seasoned with a pinch of dill.
