How to cook
Sift the flour into the oven tray lined with baking paper. Flatten and bake in an oven heated to 320°F (160°C), by stirring occasionally, until a very light golden color is obtained. Be careful not to overcook it.
Pour the powdered sugar, the toasted flour, the vanilla sugar, the wine and the lard into a bowl.
Knead a smooth dough and tear balls from it, flatten them and place a piece of Turkish delight in the center. Close each sweet Turkish delight treat well and give it a round shape.
Arrange the Turkish delight cookies in the tray, onto baking paper or lightly greased. Bake at 320°F (160°C) for about 20 minutes and finally increase to 360°F (180°C) for a short time, until they aquire an appetizing color.
Leave the baked cookies to cool and roll them in powdered sugar.
