"Rice pudding? Yes, divinely delicious rice pudding with an irresistible citrus aroma"

Ingredients

  • cold water - 1750 ml (about 7 cups)
  • rice - 222 g (or 1 cup jasmine rice)
  • cinnamon - 1 stick
  • milk - 250 ml (or 1 cup)
  • condensed milk - 340 ml (or 1 1/4 cups, unsweetened)
  • condensed milk - 580 ml (or 1 3/4 cups, sweetened)
  • cinnamon powder
  • lemon peel (grated)
  • raisins (optional)
measures

How to make

Put the rice and cinnamon stick in a thick-bottomed pot and pour cold water over it. Leave it on a high heat, until it boils and then reduce the temperature to a simmer for about 18 to a maximum of 20 minutes.

If there is still water left, strain it through a strainer. Return the rice into the pot and add the milk.

Put it on low heat to boil for about 16-17 minutes, by stirring occasionally, so that it doesn't stick to the bottom.

Remove it from the heat and distribute it in bowls.

Sprinkle the grated lemon peel on top of the sutlac and add raisins if you like.

The Portuguese Rice Pudding from My Kitchen is very tasty.

Note: Cup - 250 ml.
