How to make
In a bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and 9 oz (250 g) of sugar into a fluffy cream. Add the sifted flour and baking powder to them. Stir well and add the ricotta and milk.
Peel the two apples and cut them into small cubes. Pour them into the dough mixture and knead everything well. Transfer the mixture into a greased and floured baking pan.
Peel the remaining two apples and cut them into thin slices. The apple slices are pricked upright in the dough.
The cake is sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C). Once you remove it from the oven, the apple cake is sprinkled with powdered sugar.
