Ingredients

  • new potatoes - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • butter - 2 tbsp.
  • salt
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp.

How to make

The potatoes are washed well without peeling them.

Cut them into large pieces and place them on the bottom of a guvec (clay pot).

Sprinkle them with as much salt as you like, paprika and black pepper.

Stir and pour the melted butter over them.

Mix again, cover them with the lid of the guvec and place them in a non preheated oven.

The delicious stewed potatoes are cooked at 220°C for about 45 minutes.

The stewed new potatoes in a guvec are suitable for a potato garnish or as a main course.
