How to make
Peel and clean the apples and pears - a total of 2.2 lb (1 kg). Grate them and mix them with the walnuts and cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients - wholemeal flour, semolina (corn or wheat - optional), corn flour, brown granulated sugar, baking soda and vanilla.
If you're making it with corn semolina, it becomes a little crispier and with wheat semolina a little softer, but in both cases it is great! Spread the round baking pan with sunflower oil and lightly sprinkle it with flour.
Sprinkle 1/3 of the dry mixture on the bottom of the baking pan, distribute 1/3 of the fruit filling on top ... and so alternate 2 more times - a row of dry mixture, a row of stuffing, a row of dry mixture, a row of stuffing.
The last row needs to be with stuffing. Lightly sprinkle it with 1-2 handfuls of the dry mixture on top, which you have set aside from the last part of the mixture. Drizzle with sunflower oil back and forth, in the middle and at the edges. Bake it at 390°F (200°C), until it aquires a golden brown color - about 35-40 minutes.
While it's still warm, cover the strudel, so that it does not dry out.
It is suitable for on the go, as it is durable and does not change for a long time. If desired, you can serve it sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Fantastically easy and delicious lazy strudel with apples and pears - autumn treat for fasting and not only!
Wonderfully Tasty!
