How to make

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the slightly warmed water. Stir and wait for it to activate.

Meanwhile, sift the flour with the salt. Form a well in the middle and pour two tablespoons of oil, the activated yeast and milk in it.

Gradually, knead a soft and smooth dough. Cover it and leave it to rise for about 40 minutes. Then stir briefly and leave it to rest for another 10 minutes.

Prepare the spices in which you want to roll the bread - oregano, parsley, turmeric, paprika or whatever you like.

Break walnut-sized balls from the finished dough. Flatten them and put white cheese in the middle of each one. Close them up to form a ball.

Dip the balls in the melted butter (mixed with a little oil), then roll them in the various spices.

Grease a sponge cake mold and stack the balls on top of each other. Leave the finished bread to rise for another hour.

Preheat the oven to 390°F (200 degrees). Bake the bread until it's ready.

The monkey bread with white cheese and spices is very successful.
