How to make
Pour the flour into a bowl and cut the cold butter into pieces. Rub with your fingers until a crumbly mixture is obtained.
Beat the egg, add honey and knead a smooth dough.
Since the dough is more sticky, because of the honey, instead of rolling it out and cutting out shapes, in this case just tear off little bits and roll them into a ball between your palms. Then flatten them into thin round biscuits. You can cut a hole in the middle if you wish.
Arrange the tea biscuits in two trays at a distance from each other, onto baking paper and bake them in preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) until they aquire a golden brown color.
Leave the honey and butter tea biscuits out of the oven to cool, without removing them from the trays, because they are soft and brittle while warm and then they harden.
Serve the honey and butter tea biscuits in the company of your favorite cup of tea and enjoy the homemade biscuits with the aroma of butter and honey.
Enjoy!
