How to make
If you haven't tried oily fish yet, I urge you to.
It is in the class of white fish, its meat is incredibly tender, tasty and it melts like butter. Another quality that is noteworthy, is that it has extremely few bones, making it suitable for children.
We can also talk a lot about the useful ingredients of oily fish, but it is enough to say, that it contains valuable minerals and B vitamins.
With this recipe I offer you an easy way to prepare oily fish - wrapped in baking paper and cooked in the oven.
I chose fennel and fresh garlic to complement and make its taste even more irresistible.
Wash and clean the vegetables and cut them into strips or as you like.
Add two spoons of quality olive oil on two sheets of baking paper and spread it in a layer, which is the size of the fish fillets. Place them and cover them with fennel and fresh garlic.
Sprinkle them with a little more olive oil, white pepper, salt and lemon juice.
Cover the fish, almost like in an envelope and place it in a baking pan in the preheated oven at 390°F (200 degrees).
Bake the fish for 20 minutes and the oily fish is ready.
If the fillets are very thick, they can be left in the paper for another 2-3 minutes without opening them up, so they will continue to cook, but in general any white fish requires very little heat treatment.
That's why it's best, that at least your fennel is finely chopped, so that it doesn't stay crunchy, but also softens.
Serve the sumptuous Fish en Papillote with a garnish of a fresh salad, baked potatoes or anything else of your choice.
Enjoy your meal!
