How to make
The cup has a capacity of 1 1/2 cups (300 ml).
In a bowl, mix the sifted flour, semolina, sugar, baking powder and vanilla sugar and stir everything well. Clean and peel the apples and grate them on a coarse grater. Put them in a bowl, add the cinnamon and mix well.
Grease a rectangular baking pan with soft butter and sprinkle it with a little flour so that the cake does not stick to it. Sprinkle some of the dry mixture on top to cover the bottom.
Add enough of the apple mixture to cover the dry one. Alternate the two mixtures and finish off with the dry one. Cut the butter into thin strips and cover the cake with them.
Place the baking pan in a preheated oven at 390°F (200 degrees) and bake the apple cake for 40 minutes until it aquires a golden brown color on top.
