How to cook
Choose juicy and very well ripened pears.
Peel them, cut them in half and remove the seeds and stalks. Cut the pears into pieces and pour freshly squeezed lemon juice over them so that they do not darken.
Put them in a saucepan with a wide bottom on a medium heated hob. Let them cook along with the cinnamon sticks and cloves and in the beginning there's no need to stir. Gradually the pears will release their juice. Start stirring occasionally until the jam is ready - cooking can take over 3 hours.
While still hot, pour it into jars, close them and turn them upside down.
Optionally, you can finally add some artificial sweetener that is suitable for jam.
