Ingredients

  • filo pastry - 1 package (800 g)
  • apples - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • cinnamon - 1 tbsp.
  • raisins - 2 tbsp.
  • walnuts - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • butter - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • honey - 4 tbsp.
  • lemon - 1/2 lemon (freshly squeezed juice)

How to make

Peel the apples and cut them into cubes. Mix them with the walnuts, raisins, sugar, cinnamon and mix well. Preheat the oven to 360°F (180 degrees).

Use a rectangular baking pan, grease it with oil and put 1 sheet of filo pastry in it. Put some of the stuffing on top.

Cover it with another sheet, grease it with oil and add the stuffing once again. Repeat until you run out of the products, finishing it off with a filo pastry sheet. Grease the top with the remaining oil and bake it for 30-40 minutes on low heat.

Meanwhile, mix the honey with the lemon juice and heat it over low heat until they turn into a syrup.

Cool it and pour it over the baked pastry.

Sprinkle the Greek-Style Pastry with powdered sugar and serve it.
