"If you are fasting or vegan, these delicious pastries with a fragrant fruit filling are just for you"

Ingredients

  • filo pastry - 8.8 oz (250 g) (fine)
  • apples - 2 pcs.
  • brown sugar - 6 tbsp.
  • turkish delight - 1 box
  • hazelnuts - 3.5 oz (100 g) (ground)
  • biscuits - 5 pcs. (plain)
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
  • oil - 4 tbsp.
  • lemon juice - 2 - 3 tbsp. (freshly squeezed)
measures

How to make

Roast the hazelnuts in a dry pan for a few minutes. Leave them cool and then grind them in a blender.

Grind the plain biscuits into fine crumbs.

Grate the apples on a coarse side of a grater. Add the lemon juice to them and stir. That way they won't turn black. Add 5 tablespoons of sugar, the hazelnuts, biscuits and cinnamon. Mix everything.

Cut the Turkish delight in halves.

Cut the filo pastry sheets into four strips on the wide side. Take two of them and grease them with oil. Add 1 tbsp. of the stuffing and half a Turkish delight.

Fold the end to form a triangle and continue to fold until the end.

Arrange the pastries in a tray lined with baking paper. Grease them with oil and sprinkle them with a little brown sugar.

Bake the phyllo pies in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Delicious and crunchy phyllo pastries with apples and Turkish delight.

Enjoy!
