"I always tell myself I`m not going to eat anything sweet but then someone always shows up with a tasty Turkish delight phyllo pastry!"

Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 packet, finely rolled
  • turkish delight - 2 boxes, plain
  • eggs - 3
  • milk - 1 1/2 cup
  • flour - 1 tablespoon
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • butter - melted, for greasing the pastry sheets
  • baking powder - 1 packet

How to make

Cut the Turkish delight into small pieces. Beat the eggs with the sugar well, add the milk, baking powder and flour. Melt the butter and grease a tray.

Take 2 phyllo pastry sheets, smear them with plenty of butter and dispense pieces of Turkish delight along their length.

Roll them up and place in a snail shell pattern in the middle of the tray. Similarly, arrange the remaining phyllo pastry sheets in a spiral around the first.

Finally, carefully make slits with a fork on the surface of the pie and pour on the rest of the butter. Bake in a preheated moderate oven to readiness.
